I have been living next to this place since it opened and never thought about going. Had a hankering for greek and decided it was time to check it out. I have to admit...I was surprised. The quality of food as well as the freindliness of the people working were outstanding.

The gyro meat was one of the best I've had. Many Greek places use beef but this legit restaurant uses lamb, the way it's supposed to be. The staff was really helpful and friendly. I hope they continue to do well! Oh and the baklava was tasty at a great price!

I love this place. In Washington, I had my go to gyro place and I missed it A LOT - until I stumbled upon this gem in the Springs. So worth the drive from PW. For $7.49 you can get a gyro stuffed full of deliciousness, fries (add feta to them and you'll thank me) and a soda. Not to mention how great the service is!

We eat here all the time! The food is amazing and the customer service is great. Mu husband and I always get the Gyro. My daughter loves the chicken gyro and my son loves the kebab plate. You get a lot of food for the price. Great place for a quick lunch or dinner.

Like to come here and get a good meal At a great price they are always friendly and the gyros are tasty. I used to get gyros and Donner as well as Turkish pizza in Germany and this place is the closest to that great flavor. My go to plate is the combination plate to go.

I saw that this place has a four star rating so I thought it would be good. I wish I had read the reviews before I came here. This place is a small restaurant/cafe and a lot of their food is frozen/premade. The food was nothing great. We ordered a side of falafel which was not made from scratch, I know because I saw the guy get them from a brown bag and threw them in the fryer. The falafel was good, I'm not gonna lie but I was hoping to get something made from scratch. We also ordered a kabob plate and a combo plate. I've never seen a frozen block of meat on a rotisserie before but I guess that's what people use in order to get food out fast. The service was great and the people are really nice.

Soooooo good and the prices were reasonable. The portions were huge and very fresh. We had the kabob plate and the gyros plate. I wish we lived in Colorado Springs so we could visit more often.

great food, generous portions, in fact i could not finish my meal and to get a to-go-box. the owners are very friendly. i like the fact that you can watch your food being prepared fresh right in front of you. And the prices are very reasonable

Decided to just take a drive today and look for someplace out of the ordinary. Came across Greek Cafe and did a quick Yelp check. Solid 4 star rating, good enough for me. A small and clean place (though there was an air/feel of light/thin grease over the tables). A couple of tables were occupied. The gentleman working the front was friendly, even though he was juggling a few take out orders by himself. Tried the Lamb Kabob (Good) and the Gyros and Falafel Sandwich (Very Good). The Tzatziki Sauce was very tasty and the sandwich was packed to the gill. Was very satisfying and at a great price! I give the Greek Cafe 3.5 stars and would definitely come back again for a re-review.

5 Stars for Top Notch service, food and prices! We came here on the weekend for lunch and quickly had our order taken by a very friendly woman. The restaurant was moderately packed, so her attentiveness was much appreciated. We ordered gyros, and they were GREAT! The meat is cooked on a revolving spit (as it should be) and was wonderful!!! There was tons of food, making us wish we hadn't ordered the combo with fries. Although.. their fries were really good. This is a casual local mom and pop place, with phenomenal food. Their location is a little hidden, but nonetheless, WONDERFUL. We'll definitely be back soon.

Greek Cafe is the best Greek restaurant in the area. I've been to several of the others around here and while some of them have their strengths (The baba ganoush at Heart of Jerusalem is fantastic), none of them can top the Gyro and Kebab combo plate at Greek Cafe. Their Gyro is very flavorful and their tzatziki sauce is quite good. Both the chicken and lamb kebabs are great. The combo plate is a whole lot of food too and reasonably priced. Oh and if you're from the UK and just so happen to be in Colorado Springs and are looking for a "Doner Kebab", you should stop at Greek Cafe and get a Gyro. You never know who's reading these things. :)

Love this place!! Just moved away and will miss it! The owners are always on site and they are so friendly!! I always got the Gyro salad or the combo plate.. Yummy gyro meat, yummy lamb and chk kabob, yummy rice, delicious salad dressing, yummy pita.. Lots of meat given! Tip: call your to go order in ahead of time to save time. My only complaint would be that they charge for soda refills. That's rare these days in a restaurant. I was definitely a regular customer.. Greek Cafe and Staff will be missed!

I only give this place 5 because of the lack of Greek joints in the springs. I mean, It's a solid place for sure. But it's not the come in and sit down type of place I wish it was. The good thing is that it's so close to me and so delicious. The meat is cooked perfectly and just like in Europe you get to pick and choose what toppings you want as soon as he's done carving the meat into your pita.

Love this place! It's the best value for Greek in town. It's not a large space but it's no hole in the wall either. They have about eight tables and the owners took the time to decorate. If you want something fancier, there are nicer places to go, but you'll pay a lot more. The good tastes great here and that's what matters to me.

family restaurant. delicious. authentic We walked in and it appeared the owner and family were having dinner. It gave me that wonderful feeling we had just found a jewel in the Albertson's mini-mall. Everything was delicious. Keep in mind it is not fast food. They grilled our kabob's while we waited. We were there a little early for dinner and soon the restaurant was packed. We had the chicken kabob's and the Combo with the lamb/beef mix. Cooked perfectly. I also noticed the Cafe was very clean. I am so mad it took so long to find this place!

Service was good. Food was average. I've had Greek from all over the country and this was just okay. I'd go back but nothing stood out.

I was a big fan of this one. We would normally come here during our lunch hour and I would swallow some lamb and chicken. Meat was so tasty and flavorful and not salty. And the sides were really good as well, especially the pita. Nice, small place with good food and character. Win, win

I called in for a sandwich right at 9pm. The owner made my sandwich and waited for me. Classy and professional. I appreciated that he went the extra step to process one more customer right at closing. If this place was staffed with teenagers; I most certainly would have been turned away. I support local businesses, and especially like to sing the praise of hardworking owners who deserve recognition. So here's my song: eat here! Its fast! Its clean! Its tasty! Its right priced!

This was a great little place for a gyro. And they serve all the other great foods you would expect at a little Greek cafe. Very clean and the staff was all friendly. I got prompt service and the prices seemed to be right on target for the quality of the food. The only ding I have is the tee tiny little cup I got for my drink with a 50 cent charge for refills, but that won't stop me from coming back again.

My go-to Greek joint. The food & service is outstanding. Don't bother with My Big Fat Greek Restaurant, this is where you want to go!

Nice, clean locally owned cafe. I had the combo Gyro-Falafel pita with fries. The gyro meat is fine; nothing out of the ordinary. The Falafel was tasty without being over spiced and deep fried to a nice crisp. I appreciated the lightly toasted pita to wrap. The fries were good; thicker cut and fried to a nice crunch. I would choose this place over a chain restaurant.

This is a great place for gyros and kabobs during lunchtime. This place is clean and the workers are friendly. We accidentally showed up one time before they opened and they still welcomed us with open arms. There's about 8-10 tables in this little place. Beware that parking can be difficult to find since the parking lot is small and you are competing for spaces with other tenants in this strip mall (most people go to Verizon here). The gyro meat was very tasty, plus they put plenty of it in our gyro. The gyro itself was well constructed and the tzatziki sauce was good. If you prefer a ridiculous amount of meat in your gyro, go for the double meat option. You won't be dissapointed. Their kebabs are equally as good, plus they include a grilled tomato that's charred to perfection. A very healthy and satisfying option. Also, their fries are very good and they have fountain drinks. Overall a good place to get some solid food at reasonable prices.

Ambiance: Small restaurant located in an L-Shaped strip mall just off the Powers corridor. Parking was minimal in this strip mall during a lunchtime visit, and had to park in a dirt lot that was adjacent. Inside, you order at counter, and they will call you to come get your order when ready. Meals served on plastic trays. Place was clean. Service: Friendly and efficient enough - about five minute wait for food. Food: I went with a gyros salad. Thought it was better than some of the other Greek/Middle Eastern places in town. The meat had a good rub and was moist and flavorful. The salad consisted of crunchy iceberg lettuce pieces, several thick slices of tomato, cut up cucumber and onion, seasoned black olives (whole), and liberally sprinkled with feta cheese. A Greek vinaigrette as well as a yogurt-based dressing were both served on the side. Pita wedges formed the bottom of the salad. Overall, I thought the value was good, and I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. Though I don't live in the Powers 'hood, I would consider the drive back to Greek Cafe.

A great little place. The food was excellent, especially for the price; I spent about seven dollars. The place is very clean and the service was quick and friendly. I also noticed that the man who took my money went straight over and washed his hands after I sat down, which was very good to see. I would definitely recommend as a much better alternative to typical fast food.

My friend liked this place so much that he decided to go there two days in a row. I don't blame him. It beats any kind of fast food for its price (and just about as speedy). For about the price of a value meal, you not only get delicious, but also healthier food. I decided to get the combo that came with chicken kabobs and gyro (lamb) meat. The kabobs were cooked very well, with just the right amount of spices. And the gyro meat was very succulent and everything that I'd hoped for. My only gripe was that I couldn't see them carving the gyro meat off the spit, which is one of my favorite parts. Everything was made fresh. The people cooking and managing the restaurant were a nice Greek couple and that made me happy inside. I really like family businesses. If you're in the mood for a nice quick healthier lunch or dinner, I'd say to go to the Greek Cafe.

Wow! I just had lunch there and I will definitely return soon with guests. I was greeted with a warm smile and my meal was delicious, the people working there were both very cheerful and kind. Excellent value for price, and although I did not get a dessert this time I will definitely have some next time because they were so good looking. Very clean- I am a complete neat-freak and the restaurant and dining area were super clean! (yay for me=)

Quick and friendly service, fresh food made to order. The spanakopita was delicious, as were the lamb and chicken kebobs. The pita wasn't fresh, nor did it taste homemade, but overall this is a good spot for a quick, made-to-order sampling of Greek food.

Really good food and a great owner. Simple good Greek food. My wife had the Gyros plate and said it was real good. I opted for the Vegetarian Plate and wow was it good. Lots of food for about $6.50. We also had some of the dessert. The owner brought to the table someone elses order, then apologized and gave us an extra dessert for the mistake. No problem for us, and it was a nice gesture. Cafe was clean and well kept. This is a new place that just opened, and we are def going back for more. The interior is simple, with about 8-10 tables, and a no frills environment. Just a great place to get some great food. Located at the corner of Barnes and Powers (westside).
